Packaging as Architecture
In his contemporary art works, Oleg Podberezni (Ol Po) transforms ordinary packaging into sculpture, graphic compositions and architectural forms.
The shape itself is no longer the main point. What matters is the moment when an everyday, seemingly empty object attracts attention and begins to suggest another world. Packaging creates a simple but persistent question: what is inside? What is hidden behind the surface? What are we waiting to open?
Colour becomes a direct visual signal — intense yellow, deep blue and other strong colour fields that immediately catch the eye. The familiar language of packaging is taken out of its practical context and turned into an independent artistic environment.
A package normally serves a product. Here, it becomes the subject itself: a structure, a surface, a sculpture, a space.
We are no longer looking at packaging from the outside. We enter a world constructed by it.
Packaging no longer surrounds the product. It surrounds us.
